If you have been following me for a while now, either through newsletters, Twitter, video or personal contact, then you know that I love technology and I love internet marketing.

One thing I have learned in my five year career online, in fact it is a significant phase of network marketing and that is ‘information overload’!

If you haven’t experienced it yet, at some point I would guarantee you that you will. It is only natural, especially if you have just started out.

This ‘gremlin’ will stop you in your tracks. It will shut down any real chance you have of getting results and will destroy your efficiency. It happens to everybody. Some halter until perhaps they find a solution and some even quit working online.

You see, when you first join your network marketing business, you suddenly get inundated with new things which you must learn.

You have to learn about the company products.

You must get to grips with the commission plan.

You have to learn (or more likely, think you have to learn) the company marketing tools and how to generate new interest in your business.

Then (usually) you decide you want to market on the internet.

You start buying courses.

You order ‘magic tools’ which are supposed to work on automation and generate the leads for you.

You may try pay per click (Google Adwords).

Then you try social network and social media marketing, along with video marketing and blogging!

While you’re learning all that, you also have to learn how to be a copy-writer to make sure that once you have a visitor to your site, YOU don’t lose them.

So before you know it, BOOM..!

Your head feels like it’s about to explode with overwhelm. And you’re totally lost at which way to turn.

It’s a painful situation, I know.

You don’t know what to do next, but you know you have to do it and learn all these things if you want to be successful online.

I’ve been there a couple of times and it doesn’t stop. It seems like every week there is a new training course available, which is going to teach you something new and I don’t know about you but I just don’t have the time to get them all.

Internet Marketing is my full time living, it’s how I pay my mortgage and provide for my family. But if you have  a job as well, then you really are in a tough position.

How frustrating is it that you know you have things to learn, you want to learn them and you really want to put them into practice? I’ve been there, and it’s a killer letting great knowledge pass you by because you just don’t have the time to go through it.

So what’s the solution? What are you supposed to do?

Well, you can’t afford to stop learning because it’s critical to your success. If you stop learning, you go backwards, hit a plateau or even quit. And you can’t do that. If you do, you’ll feel like a miserable failure.
