How to Become a Link Building Expert and Google Adsense Placement Tips
If you want your website to rank well, then you have to become a link building expert!
On page optimization, backlinks or inbound links? It’s all very confusing at first. But once you know how what link building best practices and other fundamental techniques to use to get your articles, pages and posts ranking high in the search engines, all that is left for you to do is to take the checks to the bank!
Because once you’ve cracked the code of successful SEO, new traffic will just keep coming to your website every day.
Search online for one of your article keywords and depending on how big or small your niche, you’ll get thousands, if not millions of results. So how do the search engines decide which pages and posts to rank at the top of page one? And what kind of linking strategy can you develop and use consistently, to boost your chances of ranking higher?
You’re familiar with the terms backlinks and search engine optimization, but you are probably not aware (and I’m talking to newbies!) that your on-page optimization is equally important.
In the video below, I will show you how simple it is to link to other items in the same categories of your website, but first I want to give you some of the basics of link building strategies.
There are hundreds of ways of getting quality inbound links, from places like article directories, forums, videos (you can’t use anchor text with videos) and blogs to name just a few.
I personally use this product for all my mass link building:
The reason why I use and recommend this is because all the services used are automated, and are FREE.
And for all techniques, you will be required to use anchor text.
You must use varied anchor text and not just your main keyword, which when someone clicks on (you know the text I’m talking about, the blue text in the middle of a page) they are redirected to your own website.
So if your main keyword is internet marketing, then use related words like online marketing, internet marketing tips as your anchor text. All keywords which can be found on that particular page. Use two, three and four word phrases (or more if necessary).
And use a variety of places to get backlinks from, like the ones I’ve already suggested and also from social bookmarking sites (my preference is Digg.com, Propeller.com and Reddit.com), social media profiles and one which I am working on right now, is Hubpages.com. I’m trying an experiment using Hubs, and when I get some decent results I will let you know.
Reciprocal linking is another way to get links, but this strategy is no where near as powerful as getting one way links. ‘What is reciprocal linking?’, I hear you ask. This is when you put a link on your own to one site and it links directly back to you. It is only a marginally effective link building strategy.
A better way is for one of your own links to point to another site and the owner of that website has a link pointing back to yours from a completely different, but niche related website. This is known as three way linking. It works, but not as well as a one way link from one site to your own (Google knows all about link trading between hosts!)
Whenever possible, try and get links from higher PR rated pages. The higher the PR value of a website article, means the better the ‘link juice’ will be to your own site. This will boost the value of your own content. (Use the SEO Competition and Promotion sections of Market Samurai to find them)
And finally, you really want to make your link building look natural. I mean as if you were adding articles and uploading videos one at a time. If you are using tools like article submission software, don’t set it to submit articles to all the directories at the same time. Yikes!! This can really annoy the search engines and they will know you are not doing all the work yourself. Instead aim to get five to ten new links per day from articles.
This is perfectly reasonable to do manually, so set your software to submit to do the same and this will be acceptable.

It will depend on the linking source. Generally article directories take three to seven days to approve an article, but then it depends on how long google take to send their spiders over.
